T -195 - Swim & Run Friday 15th August

I'd canned the run as there was too much to do on Friday getting ready for the accountant on Tuesday and picking up the car for Desaru in the afternoon. As it was the swim lost out to expediency as well as the lunchtime slot it inhabited got slimmer and slimmer till vanishing. :(

I picked up our new Thule http://www.thuleracks.com/product.asp?dept_id=8&sku=598bicycle carrier and then picked up the picked from it's pre race service. I also went all around One Utama feeling mad as I tried to explain that I wanted some elastic laces. I happened to see a New Balance shop and with a big smile I headed there figuring that a proper running shoe manufacturer would know what I was talking about. :) Lo and behold a pair of green elastic laces were extracted from the special shoe box. :)

Packing was straight forward but at the last minute I chucked my BRAT tri suit in.
